We moved from Care Leavers Week to Care Experienced Week in 2018 to reflect what our members tell us: they don’t leave their care experience behind them, just because they leave formal care. Care experience is a fundamental part of who they are – as always, we want to celebrate that and encourage you to celebrate with us.
Connection
This year we’re focusing on connection with the Care Experienced community, as well as celebrating them, as this is particularly needed in the current lockdown climate. You can share what you plan to do on social media using the hashtags #CEWConnect and #CEW2020.
Host your own event
If you’d like to hold an event to celebrate Care Experienced people, we’d love to hear about it – no matter how big or small it is! Just fill in our online form and we’ll publicise it as part of our events calendar.
