Our young person’s team supports the East Renfrewshire Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs), we support young people throughout the authority but have never had a looked after young person involved is this. Youth Services visited the Core champions group to discuss being involved and what it means to be a MSYP.
Two champion’s board young people put themselves in the running to be the MSYP for their constituencies (this was the same constituency!) Subsequently, one of core champions’ board members was elected.
