My name is Hayley and I’m a trainee at HSCP East Renfrewshire. I’ve been working for 3 weeks now and I’m really enjoying it as well as meeting new people. So far the traineeship has been flexible which really suits my needs.
The traineeship will last a year and here is an example of what I’ve been doing,
- Helping in primary school
- Getting involved with the Champions Board
- Working alongside the YISS Team
- Going to college
- Attending events
I am doing this traineeship because it is really good experience and I want to be a support worker.
After the traineeship is done, I want to progress into college to become a support worker. I’d like to aim to work with kids as this is somewhere I feel comfortable.
I feel that this traineeship will give me valuable experience that will help me in future jobs.
